Governor Pat Quinn of Illinois

The Governor of Illinois was on the Loyola University Chicago Campus last night at the invitation of student Democrats. I liked Quinn, but I really enjoyed the moxee of the young people who pulled this off. One of the students simply got in a meet and greet line months back and when it was his turn to talk, he asked the CEO of Illinois to visit. Boom. Done. Nice job College Democrats. Good lesson for my students. You have to ask!quinn

Sochi Olympics come to a close, Gold Medal to Russia for Closing Ceremonies

Thursday night lights

rsl Every Thursday evening the 40 or so students that make up the Rambler Sports Locker walk in the door at 4:15 to produce a show that didn’t exist three and a half years ago. The all volunteer crew is incredibly bright and hard working and content is coming along. Any student can join the show and every person that walks in the door gets a standing ovation. It’s the culture of welcome and inclusion the students at Loyola University Chicago have embraced. In less than two weeks, I’ll travel with five students to cover the league finals call “Arch Madness” because it is played in St. Louis. Extremely proud of this group.
